Retirement FAQ
I want Dr. Mosher to do my surgery?
It has been a privilege to provide surgery for more than 30 years. However, Dr. Mosher is retiring from surgical practice June 29th, 2026. The office will remain open to offer continuity of care beyond this date. A final office closure date will be announced.
Will Dr. Mosher still practice medicine?
Yes. Dr. Mosher will retire from performing surgery but expects to continue offering non‑surgical consultations and treatments into the Fall of 2026. Continuity of care plans for each patient will be arranged through our network of professionals.
What if I need surgery?
Dr. Mosher will stop providing surgery June 29th. Emergency surgery for patients who have had surgery this year will still be managed by Dr. Mosher or one of our colleagues. This will be determined by doing what is considered best for each patient. For non-emergent surgical management after June 29th, patients will consult with their family physician for referral to another plastic surgeon.
Can I obtain my medical records?
Yes. Submit a written request to the office. We will be transitioning to a permanent custodian of patient medical records after the office closure date is announced. The provider of these services will be announced.
Can I obtain a copy of my clinical photos?
Clinical photographs may have been taken as part of your care. These images form part of your confidential medical record and are securely maintained.
They may be released to another physician upon written request for continuity of care.
For patients with breast implants:
Patients with breast implants should be aware that implants are not lifetime devices and may require monitoring or future management.
If you experience swelling, persistent pain, fluid accumulation, or changes in breast shape, please seek medical evaluation from your Family doctor or general practitioner. They will be able to refer you for breast imaging or to a plastic surgeon in your area.
Implant information and operative records can be obtained upon request from the medical records custodian.
