About Dr. Mathew Mosher

For more than 20 years, Dr. Mathew Mosher has been one of the most respected plastic surgeons in the Vancouver area, earning a reputation for natural-looking results that help patients look and feel their best. The Royal College-certified surgeon built his career on precision, patient education, and genuine partnership with everyone he treats.

After two decades in the operating room, Dr. Mosher has stepped back from surgery to focus his full attention on the nonsurgical side of his practice, including BOTOX Cosmetic®, dermal fillers, Morpheus8® radiofrequency microneedling, and laser- and light-based treatments that refresh and rejuvenate the skin.

What hasn’t changed is the foundation his patients have relied on for years. Dr. Mosher’s extensive knowledge of facial anatomy comes from performing thousands of surgical procedures, informing every injection he places and every nonsurgical treatment he designs.

Surgical Experience Behind Every Treatment

Dr. Mosher completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Saskatchewan and a prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship under internationally acclaimed plastic surgeon Dr. B. F. Connell in California. He earned his medical degree from the University of British Columbia and went on to receive advanced specialized training in aesthetic and reconstructive techniques in Toronto, Dallas, and Honolulu.

That depth of surgical training is exactly what sets his nonsurgical work apart today. Years spent operating on faces and bodies gave Dr. Mosher a detailed, hands-on understanding of how skin, muscle, and underlying structure work together and how they change over time.

Dr. Mosher understands that great results begin with trust, communication, and thoughtful care. Together with his team at YES Medspa, he continues to provide the kind of attentive, education-first experience that has earned him the loyalty of long-time patients and a steady stream of referrals.

Professional Associations

Dr. Mosher stays engaged with the latest advances in his field as an active member of several professional societies:

  • Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society
  • Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons
  • Canadian Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery Society
  • American Society of Plastic Surgeons

These affiliations reflect his ongoing commitment to safety, technique, and patient education, both in his surgical background and in his current nonsurgical practice.

Nonsurgical Facial Aesthetics

Dr. Mosher’s nonsurgical practice includes:

  • BOTOX Cosmetic and dermal filler injections, used individually or combined for comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
  • Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling, which stimulates collagen and remodels skin from within.
  • Laser- and light-based treatments that address sun damage, uneven tone, and other visible signs of aging.

During a consultation, Dr. Mosher and his team will help determine which treatment or combination of treatments best fits your goals.

Charitable Work and Outreach

Throughout his career, Dr. Mosher has volunteered his skills with Project H.A.N.D.S., travelling to Guatemala for several years alongside a team of doctors, nurses, and other volunteers to care for children and adults in need. That work reflects the same values he brings to every patient relationship at YES Medspa: compassion, skill, and a genuine commitment to thoughtful, patient-centred care.

Choosing the Right Provider for Nonsurgical Treatments

Nonsurgical treatments are often marketed as quick and relatively low risk, but the provider behind the needle or device still matters. Training, knowledge of facial anatomy, treatment experience, and an understanding of your goals are all important considerations when choosing a provider. Dr. Mosher brings each of these to his nonsurgical practice at YES Medspa.
