RADIESSE®

RADIESSE is a unique aesthetic injectable treatment that uses CaHa (calcium hydroxylapatite) to provide both immediate, natural-looking results and long-term improvements in the skin’s texture and youthfulness.

Led by Royal College-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Matthew Mosher, our med spa in Langley, BC, offers RADIESSE and other rejuvenating treatments to patients from Burnaby, Surrey, Abbotsford, Richmond, White Rock, and the surrounding areas.

How Does RADIESSE Work?

As we age, our skin changes. We begin to lose collagen and structure, and our skin becomes weaker and less elastic (e.g., it loses its “snap”), resulting in visible lines, wrinkles, and creases.

RADIESSE helps to build immediate volume upon injection. Over time, as the RADIESSE CaHA gel matrix breaks down, a firm network of collagen fibres forms in its place. The CaHA particles then work with your skin cells to rebuild their natural “scaffold,” which stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. As a result, you are left with renewed skin texture, increased skin elasticity, and natural volume.

Dilute & Hyper-dilute RADIESSE

Our experienced team of injectors can dilute the RADIESSE gel with a sterile saline solution to create an ideal treatment consistency for other areas of the body. The dilution process results in a thinner, more fluid gel, which makes it an ideal for treating areas that need skin thickness and texture improvements but not volume replenishment, such as the back of the hands or neck.

When this hyper-diluted version of RADIESSE is injected, it improves skin laxity, crepey skin texture, and fine lines.

What To Expect During Your RADIESSE Treatment

We will review your medical and treatment history when you come in for your RADIESSE injections. We will cleanse the treatment area and apply a topical numbing product to ensure your comfort.

The treatment takes 15 to 20 minutes in total and involves several injections with fine needles. While there is little to no downtime after, you may experience mild redness for the first 48 hours and mild swelling for up to 2 weeks.

Your skin will have an immediate replenishment of volume, with gradual improvements continuing over the next 1 to 2 months. Multiple sessions of RADIESSE may be required to achieve your desired look. We typically recommend between 2 to 3 treatments for ideal results and maintenance treatments every 12 to 18 months.
