Breast Augmentation and Lift Before & After Case 51

This 34 year old woman was dissatisfied with her breast shape. After having two children she found her breasts to be quite droopy. She had a breast lift performed 3 years previously. Although there were some shape improvements early on, she did not feel that the lift was effective. Her weight was stable and she was not planning on more children.

Revisional breast lift surgery combined with a small breast augmentation was carried out. The after pictures are just 3 months post op but show an improved shape and proportion. Her surgical scars appear normal at this stage of her recovery and should continue to improve.

Dr. Mosher points out that the success or failure of breast lift surgery is influenced by the techniques used and the quality of the tissues. When the breast tissues are thin and have stretched out, it is difficult to achieve lasting rejuvenation of the breast shape. A proportional sized breast augmentation combined with lifting surgery can often provide improved shape to the breast. A larger augmentation combined with a lift is never recommended when the tissues are thin and stretch easily.
