Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 82

This 37 year old woman had finished having children and was looking to restore the volume and tone to her breasts. She was hoping for a significant enhancement while staying within normal proportions. Her breasts were a B cup in volume, and sat lower than she wanted.

During consultation the patient was educated about the options available to her. A breast lift combined with an augmentation was recommended to achieve the best shape possible. However, the patient strongly wanted to avoid a visible breast lift scar and was accepting of the limitations and trade-offs of augmentation as an isolated procedure.

Style 15 371 cc cohesive silicone gel implants were chosen. The implant was placed into a sub-glandular position in order to achieve better filling of her loose breast shape. She has been happy with the improvements to her breast shape and size.  

Dr. Mosher notes that larger implants would have achieved even better filling and lifting of the breast over the short term. However, this was advised against to decrease the rate and degree of sagging that would occur over the long term.
