This young man from Langley came to us for an Advanced Skin Analysis with one of our Medical Aestheticians to discuss his concerns of stubborn acne and post-inflammatory erythema from the acne. He had been given a prescription retinoid and was using that with a drug store skincare line. While he admitted his acne had improved, he felt his skin was always irritated and the improvement to his acne had plateaued. During his consult, his aesthetician recommended decreasing the use of his topical retinoid, introducing an AHA to play off the retinol, and incorporating proper hydration and sun protection into his regime. These photos were taken 3 months after starting his regime; and he will continue to see a lightening of the PIE to his cheeks with continued use of his products.
