Revision Breast Surgery Before & After Case 450

This 41-year-old patient from the Tri-city area came to our office for a consultation with Dr. Sofie to discuss the removal and replacement of her 24-year-old saline implants. She was looking to increase her size and restore her shape without additional scarring. 

Dr. Sofie assessed the patient and reviewed her concerns, discussing with the patient that with the laxity of her tissues, her desired outcome could not be achieved without a lift; and did not recommend increasing the implant size. She recommended the removal and replacement of the saline implants, mastopexy, and no increase in the implant size. This would allow for the correction of the size and position of the nipple, and to avoid issues with wound healing post-op associated with a larger implant.

After consulting with Dr. Sofie about the risks and expected outcomes of revisional surgery, a bilateral capsular modification and mastopexy were performed along with the removal and replacement of her old implants. With the help of Dr. Sofie's recommendations, the patient decided upon 400cc smooth round moderate plus profile cohesive gel implants that were placed in a subpectoral position. These photos were taken at her 3.5-month follow-up, and her scars are healing as expected at this stage.
