Revision Breast Surgery Before & After Case 452

This 45-year-old patient from the Fraser Valley area came to see Dr. Sofie to discuss the removal and replacement of her old implants and was looking to improve the appearance of her breasts. She reported experiencing discomfort to her breasts following a fall a few years ago and believed that her implants had ruptured.

After assessing and consulting the patient, it was determined that she did not have ruptured implants; but instead had bilateral contractures that were contributing to her discomfort. Dr. Sofie reviewed the options available for revisional breast surgery, including a lift to address asymmetries and tissue laxity. However, the patient did not want the scars associated with a breast lift. After reviewing the risks and expectations of revisional breast surgery and recommendations for implant sizes, the removal and replacement of her implants along with a capsulectomy to address the contractures was recommended and carried out. The patient decided on 325c smooth moderate plus profile cohesive gel implants. These photos were taken 3 months post-op.
